Finding Peace in the unknown....

Okay okay I know some people (ahem Kathy) have been asking me to post for quite a while now and I have been putting it off.

Yeah I've been busy with two toddlers, a husband , and a dog as well as other must do's but the main reason I have been putting it off is because lately it seemed that there was nothing positive or exiting enough to post about.

A couple months ago we found out that Nick didn't get selected to be an Air Force Officer. That was such a blow to us because even though we knew all odds where against us (they have been extremely selective) but we thought FOR SURE we were going to get it.  Military life was all we knew so it just seemed that, that was the path God had for us.  We were ready for the time apart (with him in school), the moving, the traveling and all.  So when we found out, it was as if our lives came to a screeching halt.  WHAT DO WE DO NOW?

We have always had a next and it seemed we didn't really look too deeply into other avenues.  So we just sat around twiddling our thumbs.

As we went about our days we were finding that we were having to break the news to all our family and friends which was only reopening the wound we had band aided.

So blah blah blah...where are we now?  Still in limbo but we know that God has a plan for us and we just have to be willing to "be still".  Which is ALWAYS easier said than done.

But on the flip side we have started some new adventures with the new year.
1. Nick and I have started the Read the Bible in a Year plan and are still going strong (plus or minus a few days)...We have had some great discussions and are excited to dig even deeper.

2. Juju has started going to a home-school preschool every Tuesday which she is LOVING!! Mommy has even been able to have Ry go to the nursery so she can teach the older kids, which is great for us all.

So as we close up January I am excited to see what God has in store for us.  I know that he will never leave us and in that I find peace : )

p.s..I will post pictures soon
